This book makes an attempt to make International Business (IB) more effective through understanding country culture and corporate culture. This book is divided into three parts:
Part I, Cross-Cultural Management, explains briefly what constitutes culture and country culture; the importance of country culture in different areas such as marketing, human resources, finance, customer management and management; do cultural differences affect the organization?; what is corporate culture?; cultural synergy; multicultural teams; negotiating with foreigners; and expatriate management.
Part II, Country Culture, describes a brief history, languages, silent languages, religions, ethnic groups, education, values and attitudes, manners and customs, males and female roles and other important factors to be considered for selected countries.
Part III, Corporate Culture, describes the principle companies, management styles, which factors of country cultures influence corporate culture, key factors to be considered by foreign companies, and other important factors for selected countries.
This book will be helpful for international business students and professors. It will also be useful for business persons who are interested in knowing other countries` cultures and related corporate cultures for achieving business successes.
